Nat’elier launches flavours inspired by the Lisbon derby and challenges fans to pick the winner.

Inspired by the passion with which the Portuguese embrace football, Nat’elier has unveiled two new limited-edition pastel de nata, created to celebrate the Lisbon derby on 19 April.

On one hand, there is the Pastel de Nata Leonino, with a matcha flavour and a vibrant green hue. On the other, the Pastel de Nata Glorioso, made with hibiscus, characterised by its slightly tart notes and intense red colour. Two contemporary flavours that reinterpret the classic pastel de nata through unexpected combinations.

More than just a special edition, the initiative aimed to bring the brand closer to its community and turn the derby into an experience of sharing and engagement.

To make the challenge even more interactive, Nat’elier invited customers to vote for their favourite flavour. Voting was available at the Rua de Santa Justa shop, at the Oeiras Parque kiosk and also via a poll on the brand’s Instagram (@natelier.pt), with prizes for participants.

“At Nat’elier, we believe that the pastel de nata can be a vehicle for creativity and emotion. We drew inspiration from the passion of football to create unexpected flavours that bring people together around the table.”

says João Batalha, Pastry Chef and Co-Founder of Nat’elier.

The new flavours were available for a limited time at the Nat’elier shop and the Oeiras Parque kiosk until the day of the derby.
